NAFLD is associated with elevated serum triglycerides (TG), low‐density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL), and reduced high‐density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL). Both NAFLD and blood lipid levels are genetically influenced and may share a common genetic etiology.
