It is therefore of paramount importance that all patients with ESLD undergo an assessment of frailty, to support life and death decision making (i.e., candidacy for critical care, transplantation) and aid with prioritization of evolving prehabilitation services (i.e., nutrition, physiotherapy, psychotherapy).

Early diagnosis of BA is important for timely hepatoportoenterostomy. We evaluated the age‐specific diagnostic performance of transient elastography (TE) with a liver stiffness measurement (LSM) greater than 7.7 kPa in BA among infants with cholestasis.

Hepatobiliary Organoids and Their Applications for Studies of Liver Health and Disease: Are We There Yet?

These three‐dimensional (3D) cell cultures derived from pluripotent and adult hepatobiliary cells model organ structure and function. Building on gastrointestinal organoid establishment, hepatobiliary organoid cultures were generated from mouse leucine‐rich repeat–containing G‐protein–coupled receptor 5–positive liver progenitor cells.
