Affiliate Events
Affiliate events are social events, business or committee meetings that are planned independently of AASLD and held at official and unofficial venues during specified time periods. These events usually involve invited guests and provide opportunities for colleagues to meet face-to-face, discuss ideas, review research and network.

Community Conversations

In the event of an emergency that requires the evacuation of the building, you will hear alarms, automated instructions, and PA announcements providing clear instructions on how
to evacuate safely. Please listen to all instructions and leave the building as quickly and safely as possible.

INCIDENT REPORTING:
- Identify your location and the nature of the emergency by calling 617-954-2111.
- Identify the approximate number of people who need to be evacuated.
- Observe and report any injuries or suspicious/criminal activity.

Photo Release
The Liver Meeting® registrants agree to allow AASLD to photograph them in the context of the meeting setting. Captured photos may be used in future print/electronic promotional and archival materials.

Product Theaters are 30- or 45-minute presentations delivered by industry presenting new research, demonstrating key findings, and discussing the latest treatments with an audience of medical professionals.

The Poster Sessions are an important event during The Liver Meeting®. Approximately 600 posters will be displayed daily in poster form. The top 10% of posters accepted are designated in the program as a “Poster of Distinction.” Posters are split into two halls this year. There is an A in the number if the poster is in Hall A (Hynes, First Floor (Plaza Level)), and there is a C in the number if the poster is in Hall C (Hynes, 2nd Floor). All speakers must check in at Speaker Ready Room at least 24-hours prior to their scheduled presentations. If you do not submit your presentation in advance of the meeting via the TLM Presentation Upload site, it must be loaded at Speaker Ready Room to ensure the quality of your presentation(s) including fonts, bullets, outlines, animations, etc.
Computers in the Speaker Ready Room will be configured with the same hardware and software as those in the meeting rooms to allow you to verify that your file will display properly during your session. A practice station, replicating the onstage experience in session rooms, will be available, as well as a coach who can provide feedback and pointers for an optimal presentation. All presenters are required to submit their presentations no later than 24 hours prior to their presentation times.
It is imperative that you review your presentation at Speaker Ready Room where technicians can help resolve any compatibility or formatting issues and explain the in-room setup. Please utilize the practice space to familiarize yourself with the session room equipment and experience. NEW! What does registration for The Liver Meeting Digital Experience include?
Participants of The Liver Meeting Digital Experience can access the world’s best scientific sessions within 36 hours of their in-person presentation. From the comfort of their home or office, dX registrants can revisit their favorite sessions, and watch content they may have missed when it was presented live all on their own schedule and at their own convenience.
What if I forget the email with which I registered for the virtual meetings?

What are Community Conversations?
Community Conversations are interactive networking sessions organized by AASLD's Committees, SIGs, Patient Groups, and Task Forces, and are open to all TLM attendees.
Are sessions translated?
Sessions are not being translated.
Do sessions have closed captioning?
Yes, all sessions will have closed captioning available that can be turned on or off. Please note that the closed captioning is auto generated.
I missed a live presentation. Can I view a recording?
Presentations that are OnDemand will be available for viewing within 24 hours of the live presentations.
Is there a limit to how many attendees can be in a session?
Most sessions are only limited to the number of seats in the room. If a room is full we have set up a few overflow rooms so you can still view the slides and hear the session. If you are unable to get a seat to see a session almost all sessions will be captured and put up OnDemand within 24 hours and be available post meeting for 30 days.
What time zone is the meeting in?
All sessions take place in Eastern Standard Time (EST).
Will all sessions be available OnDemand?
Sessions will be available to view OnDemand within 24 hours after the presentation concludes. Sessions will also be available for up to 30 days after the event.

The Liver Meeting® offers a variety of Continuing Education resources designed to engage hepatology professionals in lifelong learning opportunities along with the chance to stay current on the latest trends in clinical management of diseases of the liver and biliary tract and in liver transplantation.
To claim credit, select 'Certificates & Education Credits' from the TLMdX or App home screen.
Please note: Select sessions may not be eligible for CME credit and will be noted accordingly. The American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
What are Product Theaters & Symposia?
Product Theaters are 30- or 60-minute presentations delivered by industry presenting new research, demonstrate key findings, and discuss the latest treatments with an audience of medical professionals.
Satellite Symposia are independent educational symposia presented by industry following AASLD scheduled educational events.
What are Meet the Experts Sessions?
Meet the Expert sessions provide attendees with the opportunity to hear from, and talk to, the world’s leading experts on hot topics in hepatology. These informal conversations provide attendees with the avenue to ask questions on a range of topics and are designed to further the conversation around the specialty’s most pressing issues. These are ticketed sessions and have limited seats.
