Liver Transplantation and Surgery
The Liver Transplantation SIG provides a forum within AASLD for the exploration of topics of common interest to hepatologists, surgeons and other health care professionals with a primary interest in liver transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery. The steering committee is interdisciplinary, mirroring patterns of care for patients with these conditions.
This SIG organizes a symposium at The Liver Meeting® which addresses clinical care and research of interest to our members. The SIG also serves as an advocate for transplant specialists within the greater community of AASLD focusing on professional interests of transplant clinicians. New topics for research and meeting subjects are solicited from our members. A web forum for discussion of matters of interest to the SIG is maintained by the AASLD.
