Dr. Ray Kim Begins Term as 2024 AASLD President

Alexandria, VA –AASLD proudly announces the distinguished leadership of Dr. Ray Kim as its 2024 President. Dr. Kim, a renowned hepatologist and esteemed global researcher, assumed the role of President on January 1, bringing his wealth of experience and commitment to advancing liver disease research, education, and improved patient care.  

W. Ray Kim, MD, MBA, FAASLD currently serves as Professor of Medicine and Chief, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in the Department of Medicine at Standford University. As a key figure in the field of hepatology, Dr. Kim has been actively involved with AASLD for many years, contributing to the Association’s mission to prevent and cure liver disease. His dedication to the well-being of patients, coupled with his groundbreaking research, positions him as a leader at the forefront of innovations and advancements. 

“I am thrilled to embark on a transformative year in hepatology as AASLD’s 74th President. It’s an honor and privilege to guide this esteemed organization towards new and expanded horizons in liver disease prevention and cure,” says Dr. Kim.
