Alexandria, VA – The American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD) Foundation, the largest medical society funding source for liver disease research and training in the United States, announced today a funding commitment of over $2.6 million 150 grantees. This funding will support research projects aimed at advancing the understanding, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of liver disease. It will also address critical shortages in patient access to trained hepatology care and strengthen the global network of researchers dedicated to curing liver diseases.

Since its inception, AASLD Foundation and AASLD have provided over $63 million to more than 2150 grantees to support liver-related research and training.
