Sasha Deutsch-Link is in her first year of attending as a transplant hepatologist at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Sasha completed internal medicine residency at The University of Pennsylvania and gastroenterology and transplant hepatology fellowships at the the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She has worked with her mentor Dr. Marina Serper on research involving alcohol relapse after liver transplantation and psychosocial evaluation for liver transplant candidates, and has worked with mentors Dr. Andrew Moon, Dr. A. Sidney Barritt, and Dr. Hersh Shroff at UNC on research in alcohol-associated liver disease. Her primary clinical and research interests involve improving care for patients with alcohol-associated liver disease and addressing health disparities within that population.
