Biography

Ryan M. Taylor, MD, MS, FAASLD is Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, where he serves as the Medical Director of Liver Transplantation and Hepatology. A graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, Dr. Taylor went on to complete his residency and fellowship in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology at the University of Michigan. He also earned a Master of Science in Clinical Research Design and Statistical Analysis from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. Dr. Taylor has served as the chair of the AASLD Maintenance of Certification Committee since 2022. He is the course co-director of the AASLD Transplant Hepatology Board Review Course, a role he has served since 2020.
