Mary Flynn is a transplant hepatologist at UMass Memorial Medical Center. She earned her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. Her residency was at University of Virginia, and she completed her training with fellowships in gastroenterology and transplant hepatology at Emory University. She spent her early faculty years at Emory and subsequently joined faculty at UMass Memorial Medical Center in 2022 where, in addition to her clinical work, she focuses on quality improvement in liver transplantation with a focus on optimizing the care of pre-transplant waitlisted patients.
