Dr. Lindsay King is a hepatologist at Duke University with a particular interest in liver transplantation as well as in the care of patients with autoimmune hepatitis and primary biliary cholangitis. She serves as the Medical Director of Liver Transplantation for Duke University as well as the clinic director for the transplant clinic. Dr. King completed her medical school training at the University of Virginia. She went on to complete her internal medicine internship and residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital where she served as a chief medical resident. She subsequently completed her fellowship training in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology at Massachusetts General Hospital. She joined the faculty at Duke University School of Medicine in 2015. She was the program director for the transplant hepatology fellowship and assistant program director for gastroenterology before transitioning into her role as the Medical Director for Liver Transplantation in 2022. She has been involved in a national effort to design guidance for care transition for pediatric liver transplant recipients transitioning to adult care. She serves on the Practice Guidelines Committee for the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases. She is also the co-chair for the American Society of Transplant Liver Intestine Community of Practice.
