Clayton Ade-Andrew Ruley is currently the Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Harm Reduction at the Community Liver Alliance (CLA). Previous to his work with CLA, Clayton worked for over 14 years at Prevention Point Philadelphia serving in a host of official (and unofficial) leadership roles from coordinating free medical clinics in the Street-side Health Project, the Stabilization Treatment and Engagement Program (STEP) medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) program, directing the Harm Reduction Service Center (HRSC) and leading the Community Engagement and Volunteer Services Department.
Clayton graduated from Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research (GSSWSR) in 2010 with dual masters in Social Services (MSS) and Law and Social Policy (MLSP). While at GSSWSR, Clayton was a 2009 Ruth Mayden Scholar, 1st Annual Kevin J. Robinson awardee and a 2010 Fellow with the Black AIDS Institute's African American HIV University program. He earned his undergraduate degree from Bloomsburg University (Political Science/Mass Communications).
A social worker coming from a family of social workers, Clayton believes in harm reduction, is a social justice advocate and an avid user of media who loves to inform and be informed. Clayton is a life-long Philadelphia resident.
