Biography

Dr Josee Lynch is an addiction psychiatrist at Toronto General Hospital’s Ajmera Transplant Centre. She received her MD from McGill university and completed residency training in psychiatry at the University of Toronto. She graduated from the Yale University addiction psychiatry fellowship in 2016, and subsequently returned to the University of Toronto where she is now on Faculty as Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry. Her clinical and research interests include improving outcomes for patients with alcohol-associated liver disease requiring liver transplantation, development of novel postgraduate addiction curricula and improving access to treatment for patients with substance use disorders. She is the Psychiatry Lead for the Ontario Alcohol-Associated Liver Disease (ALD) Project, a novel multidisciplinary program with the goal of providing access to transplantation for patients with ALD and short periods of abstinence through in-depth psychosocial assessment and integrated addiction treatment.
