Biography

Jay H Shubrook DO is a Board Certified family physician and a Fellowship trained Diabetologist. He is a Professor at Touro University California where he also serves as the Director of Diabetes Services. His research focus is on the prevention and early intervention for type 2 diabetes and awareness and screening for MASLD/MASH. He clinical and professional focus is on better training the primary care workforce to be prepared to help people manage diabetes and its complications. He is the Associate Editor of Clinical Diabetes and is the Chair of the Board of the American College of Diabetology- a new pathway to recognize primary care physicians who provide excellence in diabetes care. He recently published his first book—“Everyday Diabetes: Case Studies in Primary Care”. He is honored to join us today.
