Wiramon Rungratanawanich
Biography
Dr. Rungratanawanich joined National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) at National Institutes of Health (NIH) as a visiting post-doctoral fellow under the supervision of Dr. Byoung-Joon (B.J.) Song in the Section of Pharmacology and Toxicology (SMPT). Her research centers on alcohol and toxicant-mediated oxidative/nitrative stress, post-translational protein modifications (PTMs), inflammation, and crosstalk between the gut-liver-brain axis. She has been recognized for her research works as the recipient of NIAAA Daniel Hommer Outstanding Fellow Award (2023), Research Society on Alcohol (RSA) Junior Investigator awards (2021, 2022, and 2023), Research Scholar Award funded by NIH ODS (2022), RSA Enoch Gordis Research Recognition Award Finalist (2023), NIH KSA Dr. Johng S. Rhim’s Outstanding Young Investigator Award (2022), CSCTR Outstanding Young Investigator Award (2023), and NIH Fellows Award for Research Excellence (2023).
