Professor Yoon Jun Kim specializes in hepatology, particularly in the field of hepatocellular carcinoma. He operates a specialized clinic for hepatocellular carcinoma patients and provides expert care for conditions such as steatotic liver diseases, chronic hepatitis B, hepatocellular carcinoma, and liver transplantation.
His research subjects are the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma and the genetic factors of chronic hepatitis B. He actively conducts clinical studies on MASLD, viral hepatitis and hepatocellular carcinoma. Recently, he has been focusing on novel therapies for HBV, fatty liver and hepatocellular carcinoma, leading preclinical and large-scale multi-institutional clinical research for hepatocellular carcinoma and the development of new drugs for fatty liver and HBV infection.
