Biography
Dr. Iwakiri, a Professor of Medicine at Yale School of Medicine, focuses on liver fibrosis, portal hypertension and vascular systems in her research. She serves as an Associate Editor for Hepatology Communications, having previously held the same role twice in Hepatology. Additionally, she's been on editorial boards for Hepatology, J of Hepatology, and JHEP Reports. Her expertise extends to grant review committees like NIH (NIDDK and NIAAA) and AMED (Japanese grant agency). Within AASLD, she is on the Nomination and Basic Science Committees and holds leadership positions in Special Interest Groups.
