Biography
Dr. Monga is the SVC Endowed Chair in Pathobiology and Therapeutics and Professor of Pharmacology and Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. He is the director of the Pittsburgh Liver Research Center, NIDDK P30 funded Digestive Disease Research Core Center and program director of the Cellular Approaches to Tissue Engineering and Regeneration, NIBIB T32 funded predoctoral training program. He is the Associate Dean of Research for the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Experimental Pathology. His research interests including elucidating cellular and molecular basis of liver health and disease with special focus on understanding liver development, regeneration, injury, repair and tumors.
