Full Professor of Physiology at the University of Salamanca, Salamanca, Spain.
Research activity in recent years has focused on the search for biomarkers for the diagnosis of cholangiocarcinoma and for predicting response to drug treatment in liver cancer. Member of the steering committee of the European Network for the Study of CCA (ENSCCA) and Chair of the COST action Precision-BTC-Network.
