Dr. Pozza is a hepatology nurse practitioner for Southern California GI and Liver Centers. She has worked in the field of hepatology and liver transplantation for over three decades as a nurse, nurse practitioner, researcher, and Director of Clinical Research. She holds an academic appointment as a professor and Dean of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences for Azusa Pacific University.
Dr. Pozza earned a BSN, MSN and post-Masters certificate from Azusa Pacific University and a PhD in Nursing from University of California San Francisco. In 2015, she was inducted as a fellow into the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD). Her research interests include hepatitis C, adherence, practice models of care, palliative care in end-stage liver disease, and nursing education. Dr. Pozza publishes and presents research locally, nationally and internationally on these topics.
