Biography

Raúl J. Andrade is Professor of Medicine and Director of the Department of Medicine at the University of Malaga. Head of the Gastroenterology Service, University Hospital. Vice-Director of the Institute of Biomedical Research IBIMA-Plataforma BIONAND. He is the Founder and Director of the Spanish Drug Induced Liver Injury Registry (www.spanishdili.uma.es), of the Spanish Latin-American DILI Network and the Prospective European DILI Registry awarded by the EASL. Chairman of the EASL Clinical Practice Guidelines on Drug Induced Liver Injury. Chair of CIOMS (Council for International Organizations of Medical Sciences) working group on DILI 2017. Chair COST ACTION CA17112. Member of the steering committee of SIG in Hepatotoxicity (AASLD). Invited speaker in over 50 international Conferences. He published over 350 articles in peer-review journals, and 43 book chapters. He has an h-index of 58. The AASLD elected him Fellow (2016) for significant contribution to the science and practice of hepatobiliary diseases.
