Dr. Patricia Bloom is an Assistant Professor and transplant hepatologist at the University of Michigan. She performs clinical and translational research to improve outcomes in decompensated cirrhosis, especially for hepatic encephalopathy. Her goals are to create and test innovative microbiome therapies to treat hepatic encephalopathy and other cirrhosis complications. She is also developing innovative technology solutions for the management of decompensated cirrhosis. She serves as an Associate Editor for Hepatology Communications and on the Mentorship and Membership Committee of AASLD.
