Biography

Monika Sarkar is an Associate Professor of Hepatology/Liver Transplant at UCSF where she runs the UCSF Women's Liver Program and multidisciplinary liver disease in pregnancy clinic. Her clinical and research program is focused on reproductive health in liver disease, with particular interest in MASLD and autoimmune liver disease, She is former chair of the AASLD Women's Committee, and current co-chair of the AST Women's Health Community of Practice.
