Mitchell L Shiffman, MD, FAASLD

Biography

Dr Mitchell L Shiffman was the Chief of Hepatology Section and Medical Director of the Liver Transplant Program at the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in Richmond, VA from 1990-2009. He has been the Director of the Liver Institute of Virginia at Bon Secours Mercy Health since 2010. Dr Shiffman has published over 350 articles in peer reviewed medical journals invited reviews and/or book chapters, has edited 3 textbooks on liver disease has been the guest editor for 2 issues of Clinics in Liver Disease and was in the inaugural Fellow class of AASLD.
