Biography

Professor Michael Heneghan is a Consultant Hepatologist & Professor of Hepatology at King's College Hospital London for over 20 years. His principal interests are in the field of liver transplantation, autoimmune liver disease and pregnancy associated liver disease. He has published more than 250 original articles and papers in peer-reviewed journals. He has served as Secretary of the British Association for the Study of the Liver. He also has contributed to British and European clinical practice guidelines in the field of autoimmune hepatitis, pregnancy related liver disease and management of complications of cirrhosis. He has an advisor to the British Liver Trust and the PBC foundation.
