Maura Burton, NP

Biography

Maura Burton, NP is a board-certified Adult-Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) and an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse (ACHPN).
Maura began her career as a bedside nurse in solid organ transplant and then became a nurse coordinator in the hepatology and liver transplant clinics. After completing her master's degree in 2017, Maura joined the faculty at The University of Colorado on the inpatient Palliative Care Consult Service and has a particular interest in the intersection of palliative care, end stage liver disease, and liver transplantation. She has been instrumental in creating collaborative pathways with the hepatology and transplant teams at the University of Colorado Hospital.
When not at work, Maura enjoys spending time in the mountains with her husband and 2 small children.
