Biography
I am an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Karsh Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and the Medical Director of the Liver Cancer Program at Cedars-Sinai Cancer. My research program has been focused on clinical and translational research of liver cancer. I have extensive experience in epidemiology of liver cirrhosis risk stratification, surveillance, cancer early detection, diagnosis, and treatment. I have expertise in biomarker research and currently serve as a PI for 2 NIH funded projects that aim to investigate the role of novel biomarkers for the management of patients with liver diseases.
