Biography
Dr. Liang is an NIH Distinguished Investigator and the Chief of Liver Diseases Branch, NIDDK, NIH. Dr. Liang is an internationally renowned authority and investigator in the field of viral hepatitis and liver diseases. Dr. Liang has been an Associate Editor for Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Gut. He served on the Governing Board of the AASLD and was its President in 2011. He was elected to the American Society for Clinical Investigation, the Association of American Physicians, the AAAS Fellow, the American Academy of Microbiology, and the National Academy of Medicine.
