Biography

Dr. Howard Lee (he/him/his) is a transplant hepatologist/gastroenterologist, and assistant professor in medicine and surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas. He completed his internal medicine residency, gastroenterology, and transplant hepatology fellowship at Duke. Dr. Lee's academic interests include viral hepatitis, liver cancer, liver transplantation, medical education, diversity, equity, and inclusion, with a special focus on the LGBTQ+ population.
Dr. Lee is the chairman of the LGBTQ+ task force of AASLD, an executive board member of Rainbows in Gastro, and the Inclusion, Diversity, Equality, and Access to Life (IDEAL) Committee of the American Society of Transplant (AST).
