Dempsey L Hughes, MD

Biography

Dempsey L. Hughes, MD is a transplant hepatologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Northwestern University. She completed Internal Medicine residency at Lahey Clinic, followed by Gastroenterology fellowship at University of Colorado and Transplant Hepatology fellowship at University of Michigan. She is the co-lead faculty of the Combined Heart-Liver Hepatology Clinic at Northwestern, which specializes in management of congestive hepatopathy secondary to cardiomyopathy including congenital heart disease as well as evaluation for combined heart-liver transplantation.
