Biography

Cynthia Moylan, MD is an Associate Professor of Medicine and co-Director of the GI Clinical Research Unit at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. She also serves as the Director of Hepatology at the Durham Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Moylan received her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and completed residency and fellowship in GI and Transplant Hepatology at Duke University. Her primary research focuses on metabolic dysfunction associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma and how environmental stressors lead to epigenetic changes that influence disease progression.
