Chiara Raggi is an Associate Professor of Experimental Pathology at the Department of Experimental and Clinical Medicine, University of Florence, Italy. She has extensive experience in the study of hepatic cancer stem cells (CSCs), with a particular focus on cholangiocarcinoma. After completing her PhD, Dr. Raggi joined the Laboratory of Experimental Carcinogenesis at the National Cancer Institute, under the guidance of Dr. S. S. Thorgeirsson, where she gained valuable expertise in liver cancer. Upon returning to Italy, she became an independent researcher at Istituto Clinico Humanitas in Milan, concentrating on the role of CSCs in human cholangiocarcinoma and their interaction with macrophages. Since 2016, Dr. Raggi has been part of Professor Marra's group at the University of Florence, where her research explores the metabolic aspects of cholangiocarcinoma CSCs. She is also an active member of the European Network for the Study of Cholangiocarcinoma (ENSCCA).
