Biography
Dr. Carl Berg is Professor Emeritus at Duke University and directed liver transplant programs for more than 25 years during his career. He has grappled with individual patient management in his clinical and academic leadership positions, but also worked extensively on national liver transplant policies over the past two decades in his roles on the UNOS Policy Oversight Committee, UNOS Board of Directors and in his position as President of the UNOS Board of Directors.
