Bruce Luxon, MD, PhD, FAASLD

Biography

Bruce Luxon, MD, PhD is chairman and chief of service for the Department of Medicine at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington. His clinical focus is in hepatology, with expertise in autoimmune hepatitis, cholestatic liver diseases and viral hepatitis, including hepatitis B and C.

Dr. Luxon has served on numerous NIH study sections and the research committees of AASLD and ACG. He is a fellow of the AASLD. He served a three-year term on AASLD's governing board and recently was chairman of the board of trustees for the AASLD Foundation, the largest non-federal organization supporting liver research.
