Andrea Lantz is an LCSW who stumbled upon Palliative Care by accident when her first social work internship at Indiana University didn't have enough field placement options. She quickly fell in love with the philosophy of care and learned grief is beyond just the death of a person, but rather any form of loss. Her career has entailed supporting individuals living with chronic health conditions, medical providers caring for them, and offering supportive educational presentations on a variety of topics. Her innate curiosity and compassion led her to become a certified Advanced Care Planning facilitator to help empower others and reduce unnecessary stress and burdens before it's too late. In 2020 she started her own private practice based out of Evansville, IN and was awarded the NASW Social Worker of the Year in 2022. She is a new NASW regional board member, co-facilitator of an Alzheimer's caregiver support group and on the board of Mae's Way Foundation, an organization supporting children left behind by suicide.
