Anand Ghanekar, MD PhD, is an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Toronto, Canada. He is an abdominal transplant surgeon at Toronto General Hospital and The Hospital for Sick Children. His clinical practice is focused on liver and kidney transplantation with a special interest in living donor transplantation. He also conducts basic and translational research investigating the developmental biology of cholangiocytes, and the pathobiology of biliary disease and hepatocellular carcinoma.
