Patient Navigation of Health Care System

Description

Patient as they encounter steps in our Healthcare system, essentially revolving around a "Workflow" from symptom expression to diagnosis(immediate supporting education considerations due to digital information access), to management (lifestyle changes, job+insurance transition, home-life ecosystem), to treatment (including denials, insurance changes) , to follow-up (the win is not entirely the end, making sure patients understand their higher risks with HCC).

At each node, the education opportunities, barriers, and the like could be discussed and broken down. Explained from the patient's perspective, and provided the setting, it might be helpful to have a roundtable type session, where the journey is presented in each step, and following each step, the roundtables might have a five minute break out to consider solutions to barriers and thoughts about improving educational channels.

The closing might consider creating compelling patient homework, how to spark better patient-driven online research. Including the complexities of the ebb and flow into healthcare systems some folks engage in, Denials, etc…
