Paul A. Dawson

Biography

DR. Dawson has been studying bile acid transporters and bile acid-based therapeutics for over 30 years. Studies in Dr. Dawson’s laboratory are focused on elucidating the mechanisms controlling bile acid homeostasis and developing new therapies for bile acid-related disease. The list of bile acid-related diseases and disorders includes forms of cholestatic liver disease, fatty liver, drug-induced liver injury, bile acid diarrhea, and bile acid-induced kidney injury.
