Biography

Nikki Duong is a recent graduate of the dual-pathway gastroenterology and transplant hepatology fellowship at the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. Nikki serves on the executive board of Rainbows in Gastro, and was one of the co-founding members. He is a former AASLD Emerging Liver Scholar and Ambassador. During his fellowship, he has published over 20 peer-reviewed manuscripts. He has led and participated in several society-sponsored webinars on topics related to the fellowship match and his experience being "out" in medicine. He has won several teaching and patient care awards. More recently, he was awarded the "Outstanding Fellow Research Scholar Award." He is passionate about medical education, mentorship, and quality improvement initiatives in patients with alcohol associated liver diseases. He is now a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Stanford University Medical Center.
