Description
Faculty will discuss risk of HCC in emerging at-risk populations for HCC, including patients with MASLD and those who are post-SVR. We will specifically address the controversy regarding HCC risk and benefits of HCC surveillance in patients with advanced fibrosis but without cirrhosis. We will also discuss emerging clinical risk scores and biomarkers.
Objectives
- Recognize risk of HCC in growing patient populations such as those with MASLD or post-SVR (including in absence of HCC)
- Understand role of clinical risk scores and emerging biomarkers for risk stratification in at-risk patients
