MTE #43 - Withdrawal of Nucleos(t)ide Analogues

Description

In this session the do’s and don’ts of withdrawal of Nucleos(t)ide Analogues will be discussed. In a selected group of patients NA withdrawal appears to be effective in invigorating the immune system leading to HBsAg loss. On the other hand treatment withdrawal is not without risks and can be associated with severe flares and even liver decompensation. In this session the benefits and adverse effects of NA stopping are taught in interaction with the audience.
