Approaches to management of portal hypertension in children remain controversial. This MTE will debate the pros and cons of treatment options in pediatric portal hypertension.

Objectives

  • Differentiate the approaches to pediatric portal hypertension including primary prophylaxis with endoscopic variceal ligation, sclerotherapy, or nonspecific beta-blockade
