Description

The COVID pandemic has dramatically accelerated an existing decline in the number of healthcare workers due to population shifts, among other trends. This is in striking contrast to the increased burden of chronic liver diseases on healthcare systems and expenditure. This session will outline strategies that will help improve workforce capacity and improve quality care for patients with chronic liver diseases.

Objectives

  • To understand current and future trends in the healthcare workforce
  • To identify opportunities to stabilize and improve healthcare capacity for an increasing number of patients with chronic liver diseases
