Description

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends early and proactive treatment for children who have obesity, including surgery or weight loss drugs. However, the application of these recommendations to Pediatric MASLD are not clear.

Objectives

  • Review the current recommendations for medical and surgical treatment of pediatric obesity
  • Debate whether the current recommendations for treatment of pediatric obesity is applicable in pediatric MASLD
