Description
Mitochondria play critical roles in various types of cell death including apoptosis, necroptosis and ferroptosis. Mitochondria are dynamic organelles constantly undergo fission and fusion as well as biogenesis and removal by mitophagy. We will discuss current understanding on how drug affect these processes and mitochondrial homeostasis resulting in hepatocyte death and liver injury.
Objectives
- Mechanisms of mitochondrial quality control in drug-induced liver injury
- Mechanisms of mitochondria fission and fusion as well as biogenesis in drug-induced liver injury
