Markus Selzner
Biography
Markus Selzner completed a residency in General Surgery at the University Hospitals of Cologne/Germany and Zurich/Switzerland. He performed a three-year research fellowship focusing on hepatic reperfusion injury at the Duke University Medical Center. He continued is training with a clinical fellowship in Liver/ Pancreas Surgery and Liver Transplantation in Zurich, followed by a second fellowship abdominal organ transplantation in Toronto. He is currently the Surgical Director of the Ajmera Liver Transplant Centre at the University of Toronto, and the Acting Chief of the Division of General Surgery at the University Health Network in Toronto. His research is focused on abdominal organ preservation and perfusion with a special interest in graft repair and modification.
