Biography

Colorado State University: B.A. Communication Studies University of Colorado, Denver: Certificate in Health Communication LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jennleighjones/ As a survivor of severe interpersonal violence (IPV), Jenn developed complex PTSD, drinking like many young victims do, to numb the pain. At 46, she almost died from alcohol-induced hepatitis and decompensated liver cirrhosis. With a 30% chance of living, Jenn felt alone, ashamed, and more afraid than she was when a brutal man stalked her across five states. If it wasn’t for her dog who she felt needed her for his survival, Jenn may have given up. With this short-term resolve, Jenn was able to heal enough to discover meaning in her life — a purpose — ensuring others are not alone during this difficult journey. Today, Jenn has been safe from IPV since 2013, and sober since 2018. After taking inventory of her education; business acumen, building multimillion-dollar partners in aerospace government contracting and supply chain management; and lived experience, she founded the Society for Sober Liver Survival (Sober Liver) in March of 2023. Sober Liver is a program dedicated to helping people survive the diagnosis of ALD. With your support, we can help people with ALD find meaning in their lives, and with their care partners have the joy in life we all deserve!
