Janet Gripshover

Biography

Janet Gripshover is a Family Nurse Practitioner currently serving as the Nurse Manager for UCLA’s Liver and Small Bowel Transplant program. After finishing her training at the University of Pennsylvania in 2005, she spent 3 years in urgent care and correctional medicine before matriculating into the field of gastroenterology, hepatology and transplant medicine. She has promoted AP practice through development of the AP HCV Consortium in Baltimore, MD, which served as an educational and networking format for Baltimore area APs interested in providing HCV treatment. She was also the founder and moderator of the first hospital-sponsored Facebook support group for liver transplant recipients, earing the “New Media Award for Healthcare” by the Baltimore Business Journal and featured in national conferences. She is an active member on the Women’s Initiatives Committee of the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease (AASLD) and the Advance Practice Provider Committee of the American College of Gastroenterology, and a previous member of the Hepatology Associates Committee with AASLD. She recently completed a Doctorate of Nursing Practice/MBA dual degree at the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing.
