Description

With the projected deficit in hepatology providers identified by the Hepatology Workforce Study APPs are uniquely positioned to bridge the gap in access to hepatology care. This program will identify specific areas where APPs have an evolving impact.

Objectives

  • Review hepatology workforce study and impact on access to care on patient outcomes
  • Identify various models of APP roles in both the outpatient and acute care settings.
  • Review data supporting the safety and efficacy of APP performed procedures (ie; liver biopsy, paracentesis, fibroscan)
