Christopher L. Bowlus

Biography

Dr. Bowlus is the Lena Valente Professor and Chief of the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of California Davis. His primary research interest is in developing new therapies for autoimmune liver diseases, particularly primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) and primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC). Over the past 30 years, his research has spanned from basic genetics and immunology to randomized controlled trials funded by NIH, CDC, and industry.
