Description

This workshop will highlight the breadth of options available in the field of hepatology/liver transplant and provide practical guidance for trainees and early-career faculty. Session speakers will share perspectives on launching a successful career in academics, community-based practice, and industry. There will be dedicated time for a panel discussion with hepatologists.

Objectives

  • Determine strategies for developing a career in hepatology and liver transplant
  • Describe career options in hepatology and liver transplant including: community-based practice, academic medicine, and industry
  • Identify key roles and practices in developing successful mentoring relationships
